Help Alaska and her regiment save as many lives as possible!
Thanks to you we have closed the big fundraiser for Cuba&Alaska for two Maul ground evacuation capsules.
Now we need to raise a bit more — $10,000 — to purchase key components for a UGV (Unmanned Ground Vehicle). This equipment will go to Alaska’s special regiment and will expand their ability to use robots, not people, for the most difficult and risky tasks.
Goal – 10 000 $
Our sisters-in-arms from the VETERANKA Movement are the central figures of the documentary Cuba & Alaska. The film tells the story of two friends, Yuliia and Oleksandra, with the call signs “Cuba” and “Alaska.” They are combat medics who head out daily to rescue wounded soldiers—even when those soldiers have lost hope that anyone would dare to break through deadly danger to save them.
These women are the living embodiment of the Ukrainian phenomenon: women who voluntarily went to the front, left behind their normal lives and beloved jobs, and retrained as combat medics. They defend Ukraine, are true professionals in their field, and demonstrate the power of sisterhood in wartime.
To give love and care despite loss, to give all of oneself and believe in their country’s victory, to go all the way—this is what guides the heroines both in the film and in real life.

About the fundraiser
We’re raising funds for key components for a UGV (unmanned ground vehicle) to ensure reliable connectivity, video monitoring, and network integration in the field.
The set includes:
- Starlink MINI — satellite internet for field operations.
- Dahua DH-IPCHFW1239DT-4G camera — video monitoring and image transmission.
- TTL UART to Ethernet adapter (Waveshare) — networking/bridging for control and telemetry.
- Mikrotik HEX RB750 Gen 3 router — internal networking and traffic routing.
- 24V DC-DC converters — stable power conversion and distribution.
With the funds raised, we will purchase the essential components needed to make the UGV fully operational and field-ready — reliable connectivity, video monitoring, stable power, and the necessary installation hardware. This support will help the Special Regiment “OMEGA,” where Alaska is serving, use technology to complete critical missions more safely and effectively.
We choose to invest in technology and fight with it — not at the cost of more lives.

About Cuba & Alaska

Alaska
“Alaska” is a combat medic, artist, and former journalist. After studying at the Odesa Medical University, she worked in the media. With the onset of the full-scale invasion, she initially joined as a volunteer with the VETERANKA Movement’s Rapid Response Headquarters, and later made the decision to become a combat medic.
Military service taught Alaska not to postpone her dreams. She realized she wanted to apply to the Kharkiv School of Architecture while taking cover from an enemy drone at a bus stop during the liberation of occupied Kharkiv region. The same day she returned to base, she submitted her application.
She was wounded in a Russian drone attack, but continues to serve in the Special Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine. In addition, she works on architectural projects, creates illustrations, and helps veterans with social reintegration.

Cuba
“Cuba” is a combat medic, volunteer, servicewoman in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and a designer originally from Kharkiv. She first joined the front lines as a volunteer back in 2014 and served in some of the most intense combat zones.
Initially, she worked with the volunteer medical battalion “Hospitallers,” and later co-founded the medical service “ULF,” where she continued saving soldiers until 2019.
Cuba is a co-founder of the VETERANKA charitable foundation, which was born out of the Movement’s Rapid Response Headquarters on the very first day of the full-scale invasion. In April 2022, Yuliia established the workshop by VTRNK based within the Movement — one of the first initiatives to design patterns and sew military uniforms specifically for women.
Eventually, Cuba returned to the front, serving as a combat medic with the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the defense of Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions. She is currently serving in the 39th Separate Coastal Defense Brigade of the 30th Marine Corps of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a tactical medicine instructor.
